I was treated by Dr. Shah this past April for an injured index finger.I had long neglected this injury and now the finger was extremely swollen, painful, and non-functioning. Dr. Shah diagnosed the injury with confidence , patience and precision and prescribed a course of physical therapy. In one consultation I went from total despair to a sense that my injury was treatable without major surgery. The physical therapy was at times quite painful as he predicted. However within six weeks I was well on the road to recovery. I have only gratitude and respect for Dr. Shah and his staff

I’ll start by saying Dr. Ajul Shah is a surgical genius and wonderful person! I broke my 4th metacarpal bone in 3 places in my right hand during handstand walking in a CrossFit competition. Not only was I tremendously concerned about returning to working out, but was in fear of even just normal hand usage. Dr. Shah’s supreme surgical skill has enabled me to get back to doing handstand push ups, pull ups, lifting, and successfully competing! He also provided me with the most highly skilled Occupational Therapist. They were an amazing team focused on my health and healing. Even more important is his personality – he gets to know you as a person, not a patient. He truly cares. He’s in constant communication, thoroughly explains everything, and makes himself accessible for any question, concern, and even appreciated when I would share my workout videos!
Dr. Shah took care of my 9 year old's fractured finger. He was extremely easy to talk with and always made my son feel included in his treatment plan. Dr. Shah spoke to our son and made him feel involved during every office visit which made my son feel super comfortable. Dr. Shah kept such close contact with us making sure my son was feeling well during the 6 weeks of his healing stages and as well as directly post his procedure. He also made sure he was fully healed before clearing him for any activity which showed Dr. Shah really cared out the long term outcome of his patient. I 100% recommend Dr. Shah!!!! It was a blessing to have found a doctor as caring and as talented as he is!
Dr. Shah is amazing. I have never had a doctor so caring. He listens and takes time to answer any questions you might have.. He has the best bedside manor. Can reach him anytime. Stays in touch to see how you feel. Oh dud I mention he operated on my Ulnar nerve twice and I have my hand back. He is awesome.

I was diagnosed with paralysis of the right diaphragm, due to a phrenic nerve injury. After a search of the internet I found Dr. Matthew Kaufman was the only surgeon that appeared to be specializing in this field. After vetting out Dr. Kaufman I made an appointment. After my consultation with Dr. Kaufman he felt he could help me. I traveled from Boston, MA to New Jersey to Have Dr. Kaufman repair my phrenic nerve. The next day I was noticeably breathing better. I feel that I am on the road to recovery and for that I thank Dr. Kaufman and his wonderfully talented staff.

That consultation was in August of 2021. Dr. Ibrahim performed my breast reduction on July 18, 2022. I couldn’t be more pleased with the life changing outcome No more pain and my breasts look wonderful. Dr. Ibrahim is a fantastic surgeon.

Dr. Usal performed my DIEP flap reconstruction in conjunction with a mastectomy of one breast by another surgeon. Throughout the whole process, he and his entire staff and team made my situation easier by explaining my options and the surgery I chose in detail; including pros, cons and a giving me a realistic view of possible outcomes. They helped with scheduling the various tests that were needed to verify my eligibility for the procedure, making sure I was properly prepared and going up to bat with a reluctant insurance company. The advice on after care for the scars has been ongoing and well explained. I'm so glad I chose the path to healing that I did, it was important for me to feel that I had some control over the process and the outcome. Probably if I had to choose one word to describe my experience, it would be "gratitude".
I was referred to Dr. Usal by my plastic surgeon that placed breast implants in after a bilateral mastectomy. I was in severe pain so my doctor sent me to Dr. Usal. Dr. Usal recommended pain management and breast rehabilitation first but that didn't work so he preformed the Diep Flap surgery after taking out the implants. I do not have pain anymore. He is a confident, intelligent and kind man that shows compassion to his patients. I would highly recommend Dr. Usal!!

I was so fortunate to find Dr. Elkwood and Dr. Lakhiani. The circumstances that led to my injuries made it impossible to find a doctor that would help me. My brachial plexus was damaged throughout my entire arm. My chest and stomach walls after a mastectomy and Diep Flap were left mutilated. I was left in so much pain and my life was completely altered. When I came to see Dr. Elkwood he knew exactly what to do he was able to pinpoint exactly where the pain was coming from. He promised that he would do all he could to help. I underwent several procedures to correct the brachial plexus. I also was able to get reconstructed from the deep flap procedure both on the breast and the stomach wall. I can't express my gratitude This has been a long road with Dr. Elkwood and Dr. Lakhiani, but they stood with me the entire time. I am finally able to enjoy my life again. I have the ability to use my arm with so much less pain. I feel more confident and more beautiful. They really put back together my broken body. I am forever grateful !

I wish I could give a higher rating for Dr. Herman. Dr. Herman a skilled surgeon, has excellent his bedside manners, very patient w his patients. He takes all the time a patient needs explaining everything to you. His entire staff provide a positive experience. They never made me feel uncomfortable. In fact treated me as a friend rather then a patient. His nurse is always reachable and very prompt with getting back to you. I highly recommend Dr. Herman and his staff!!!

I am so grateful I ended up having him do my top surgery. Dr. Herman's bedside manner is the utmost professional and caring. This staff is very LGBTQ+ friendly which makes it a safe space for myself and the community. My top surgery results exceeded my very high expectations. My scars are perfect!!! I was treated by Dr. Shah this past April for an injured index finger.I had long neglected this injury and now the finger was extremely swollen, painful, and non-functioning. Dr. Shah diagnosed the injury with confidence , patience and precision and prescribed a course of physical therapy. In one consultation I went from total despair to a sense that my injury was treatable without major surgery. The physical therapy was at times quite painful as he predicted. I’ll start by saying Dr. Ajul Shah is a surgical genius and wonderful person! I broke my 4th metacarpal bone in 3 places in my right hand during handstand walking in a CrossFit competition. Not only was I tremendously concerned about returning to working out, but was in fear of even just normal hand usage. Dr. Shah’s supreme surgical skill has enabled me to get back to doing handstand push ups, pull ups, lifting, and successfully competing! He also provided me with the most highly skilled Occupational Therapist. They were an amazing team focused on my health and healing. Even more important is his personality – he gets to know you as a person, not a patient. He truly cares. He’s in constant communication, thoroughly explains everything, and makes himself accessible for any question, concern, and even appreciated when I would share my workout videos!
Dr. Shah took care of my 9 year old's fractured finger. He was extremely easy to talk with and always made my son feel included in his treatment plan. Dr. Shah spoke to our son and made him feel involved during every office visit which made my son feel super comfortable. Dr. Shah kept such close contact with us making sure my son was feeling well during the 6 weeks of his healing stages and as well as directly post his procedure. He also made sure he was fully healed before clearing him for any activity which showed Dr. Shah really cared out the long term outcome of his patient. I 100% recommend Dr. Shah!!!! It was a blessing to have found a doctor as caring and as talented as he is!
