Injectable Treatments
Unlike dermal fillers, which add volume by injecting substances below the skin to resolve fine lines and wrinkles, BOTOX® smooths skin by relaxing the tiny facial muscles that impact creases in the skin. BOTOX® Cosmetic is a purified form of the botulinum toxin, which is a safe and effective treatment, and the effects can last up to six months.
Voluma® XC is an injectable filler made with hyaluronic acid. It is most commonly used in the mid-face to help moisturize and soften the skin. It is also recommended for sunken cheeks and chin augmentation to create a fuller, younger-looking facial profile. The effects of Voluma® XC injections can last up to two years.
Vollure® XC injectable gel is recommended to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as "smile lines," in adults over 21. Vollure® XC gel uses hyaluronic acid to fill and smooth skin folds while maintaining natural expressions and movement. The effects of Vollure® XC last up to 18 months.
KYBELLA® is a preferred treatment for improving the appearance of a "double chin" or eliminating moderate to severe fat in the submental area (below the chin). KYBELLA® is made from deoxycholic acid, a bile acid naturally found in your body. When injected, it destroys fat cells, resulting in a noticeable reduction of fat under the chin.
Are you looking for the perfect pout? In addition to the desirability of full, luscious lips, injectable lip fillers stimulate tissue regeneration, preventing future volume loss. The Plastic Surgery Center offers a variety of name-brand fillers and fat and collagen injections to help patients achieve beautiful, full-looking lips. JUVEDERM® is one of the most commonly requested lip enhancements, and its effects can last three to six months – or even longer.
JUVÉDERM® is also used to treat "smile lines" or "laugh lines," or the folds of facial skin at the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth.
VOLBELLA® is recommended for patients who want a subtle enhancement around the lips or the correction of fine lines spreading out around the mouth (perioral lines), often recognized by the spread of lipstick outside the lip area. Like Vollure® XC and Voluma® XC, it is made of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body.
Want the look of longer, thicker, darker eyelashes? Latisse® is a one-of-a-kind prescription treatment for eyelash growth. The process involves the nightly home application of the Latisse® solution to the base of your upper eyelashes. Lash length and volume are visibly improved in as little as six to eight weeks, with total eyelash growth in 12 to 16 weeks.
Radiesse® is an injectable "filler" anti-aging treatment made of calcium hydroxylapatite in a water-based gel. It is most frequently used to diminish lines around the nose and lips, on the upper lip, and to add volume and contouring around the cheeks, chin, and jaw. Radiesse® also effectively enhances the volume and firmness on the back of hands that occurs with aging.

Candidate for Injectables?
These FDA-approved treatments offer a safe alternative to traditional plastic surgery; however, it's essential to have realistic expectations about desired results and the typical length of results. BOTOX® and other injectables are recommended for patients 18 or older who are in good physical health and are not pregnant or nursing.
Consultation
Our board-certified plastic surgeons are available for BOTOX® and other injectable filler consultations at all Plastic Surgery Center locations. During your initial visit, one of our highly-skilled surgeons will review your medical history and discuss your ideal outcomes to determine if you are a candidate.

What to Expect
Depending on the treatment process recommended for you, our expert staff and physicians will provide detailed information about what you can expect before, during, and after an injectable procedure.
In preparation for injectables, your skin will be cleansed with an antibacterial agent, and topical or local anesthetic may be used to numb the area. The physician will inject BOTOX® or the filler substance below the skin. Your procedure may include more than one injection, and they will massage and evaluate the area, injecting additional substance until the desired result is achieved.
Recovery &
Results
Some discomfort, numbness, or swelling may occur following BOTOX® and other injectables, such as lip enhancements. These symptoms should resolve within 24 to 48 hours, but may last up to a week. If you are planning to have injectables before an important life event, we recommend scheduling the procedure at least two weeks before the event to ensure complete recovery.
