Sidney Rabinowitz, MD, FACS
Dr. Rabinowitz is an Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine. Dr. Rabinowitz is triple board certified in general surgery, plastic surgery, and hand and microsurgery.
Dr. Rabinowitz makes sure to dedicate his full attention to each patient who comes in for a consultation, taking the necessary time to address any concerns, and is happy to address all patient questions. All treatment decisions are carefully considered, with the patient’s health, comfort, goals, and safety as the top priorities. Dr. Rabinowitz is current with the latest procedures and cutting-edge technologies for the benefit of his patients.
Dr. Rabinowitz completed his undergraduate education as a Chemical Engineer at Washington University in St. Louis before attending medical school at the New York University School of Medicine. After earning his doctorate in 1987, he went on to complete more than nine years of medical training, including General Surgery Residency and Chief Residency, at SUNY Health Science Center in Brooklyn (Chief Resident), Plastic Surgery Residency, Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School (Chief Resident), Hand and Microsurgery Fellowship, California Pacific Medical Center, and a two-year Research Fellowship, SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn. He has consistently been named a Top Doctor in Bergen County Magazine, 201 Magazine, and NJ Monthly for both Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, as well as Hand and Microsurgery.
As an active member of the medical community, Dr. Rabinowitz is a part of numerous professional societies, including The American Society of Plastic Surgeons, The American Society for Surgery of the Hand, The American Medical Association, the New Jersey Society of Plastic Surgeons, and Bergen County Medical Society.
