Breast implant removal, also known as explant surgery, is a procedure that removes breast implants for either personal reasons or medical necessity. Over time, your aesthetic goals may evolve, or complications like hardened scar tissue (capsular contracture), implant leaks, or shifting may occur.

Recovery & Results
Your surgeon will provide detailed recovery instructions, including how to care for incisions and manage discomfort. In the days following surgery, you can expect mild swelling, bruising, and discomfort that will gradually improve. Most patients are able to return to light activities within 1-2 weeks, but strenuous exercise should be avoided for several weeks. Some patients report tenderness or soreness for up to 6 weeks.
Final results will improve as swelling subsides, revealing a more natural, refreshed appearance.
